Last season, many would agree that the Baltimore Ravens were one of the NFL’s best teams. In fact, the Ravens have been on the cusp of being a Super Bowl contender for several seasons now, and Lamar Jackson being a typical MVP candidate surely hasn’t hurt.
But that hasn’t been the case in Baltimore this year, as both the Ravens and Jackson have struggled much more than we’re used to seeing. Right now, the Ravens are set to enter Week 15 with a 6-7 record. But Ravens leader John Harbaugh has only finished with a losing record twice in his previous 17 seasons as an NFL head coach.
While the Ravens still have four more games to turn their season around, some, like ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, have suggested that Baltimore could be headed for a full coaching reset this offseason.
IF the Ravens determined that they no longer wanted to move forward with their future Hall of Fame head coach, chances are it wouldn’t be long before another team hires Harbaugh in the same role.
After all, his 178-111 record (61.6% win rate) places Harbaugh 14th on the NFL’s all-time coaching wins list. His 61.6% win rate ranks 34th in NFL history.
Will Harbaugh continue adding to his totals with the Ravens, or will they try to find the next coaching great this offseason? As other teams have experienced, sometimes finding a better head coach is much easier said than done.
