Daily Norseman
It’s game day, everybody! In just a few hours, our Minnesota Vikings will return to the field at U.S. Bank Stadium for an AFC/NFC battle when they host the Baltimore Ravens. We’re ready for some purple-on-purple violence on the field, and we want to make sure that everyone has the ability to follow along with today’s game, so we’re putting all of the information you need right here.
We are once again getting things started at the best and most normal time for NFL action to kick off, that being noon Central time on Sunday afternoon. This game is going to be handled by the folks from FOX, with Kevin Kugler and Daryl Johnston on the call from the booth. If you want to see whether or not you’re in the local broadcast area for this one, here is this week’s map from the folks at 506 Sports. The Ravens/Vikings game is represented by the blue area on the map.
If you are outside of the blue areas, you’ll have to look for the game on YouTube NFL Sunday Ticket. Or, like, a sports bar or something, I suppose.
I’d bring you the schedule for broadcast on the American Forces Network, but blah blah government shutdown blah blah things not updating blah blah. Hopefully that changes in the very near future here.
If you’re going to be traveling or just prefer to listen to things through the magic of radio, we have updated our list of Vikings Radio Network affiliates for this season. Wherever you are in the upper Midwest, you should be covered.
If you have satellite radio, you can catch the Vikings feed on Channel 231. If you’re utilizing the SiriusXM app, you can listen on the Vikings’ permanent home there, which is Channel 820.
According to the folks from Football Zebras, the officiating crew for this game will be led by Shawn Hochuli. Hochuli, who still can’t bench press as much as his dad, last officiated a Vikings game in September of last year, when his crew handled the Vikings’ 34-7 thrashing of the Houston Texans in Minneapolis.
Obviously, the weather won’t be a factor during the game itself in this one as things will be happening inside the cozy confines of U.S. Bank Stadium. If you’re traveling to the game or will be taking part in any pre-game activities, bundle up, because it’s starting to get a little nippy out there, according to our friends at WeatherNation. The high temperature for today in the Twin Cities area is forecast to be right around the freezing mark. But, hey. . .at least it won’t be snowing!

Things haven’t changed in this one from when the opening lines were released earlier this week. The Vikings are still a 4.5-point underdog in this one, while the over/under for points still rests at 48.5.
