Baltimore Ravens already losing faith in their team? The Cleveland Browns are optimistic, meanwhile

During the season, Cleveland Browns fans vote in SB Nation Reacts to express their confidence level in the team or their thoughts on other topics.

Even though the Browns lost their season opener to the Bengals by a score of 17-16, fan confidence actually jumped from 66% to 76%. Joe Flacco executed the offense as well as we could have asked him too, and the defense had one of the most dominant second halves you can ask for. Unfortunately, “only in Cleveland” struck again with two bobbled passes that led to interceptions, as well as a couple of missed field goals by our rookie kicker. Other rookies fared well, though, and were quite involved, which has fans optimistic about what’s to come.

On the other side, our opponent this week, the Baltimore Ravens, had their fan confidence crash from 95% to 42%. It’s a steep drop, and one that is indicative of both a fickle fanbase and one that must be tired of seeing the same type of collapses by their team over and over in big moments. If that element isn’t corrected, then how can fans have faith that Baltimore can be a legitimate Super Bowl contender?

We asked two other questions this week. The first one asked who fans thought the most impressive rookie was in Week 1 for Cleveland. There were a lot of candidates, but LB Carson Schwesinger was the leading vote-getter with 43% of the vote. That was followed by TE Harold Fannin (32%), RB Dylan Sampson (22%), and DT Mason Graham (3%).

Our other question asked what Browns fans are expecting the outcome to be for this Sunday’s Browns vs. Ravens game. 70% of fans are calling for a Ravens win in some capacity, while 30% are still throwing their support toward the Browns — who are 11.5 point underdogs — scoring an upset.
