Baltimore Ravens Add Pro Bowl Talent to Team After Sunday’s Loss

Last season, the Baltimore Ravens were a dominant team, winning 12 games and reaching the Divisional Round Playoffs. This year, they haven’t had nearly as much luck.

After Sunday’s 27-22 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Ravens now enter the NFL Week 15 schedule with a 6-7 record. Yet, there’s still plenty of hope, as they’re just one game behind the Steelers for the AFC North crown.

On Tuesday, the Ravens added some outside help, signing offensive guard Laken Tomlinson to their practice squad. Tomlinson, a one-time Pro Bowler, has made 10 appearances (seven starts) for the Houston Texans this season.

Tomlinson is in his 11th season, bringing 173 games (162 starts) to the table in Baltimore. The Ravens are his fourth team since 2023.

Tomlinson is presumably Ben Cleveland’s replacement, who was just suspended for three games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Though, the Ravens may want to make sure he’s prepared for action before giving him an official spot on the 53-man roster.

Still, adding him to the practice squad now gives the Ravens the flexibility to promote Tomlinson to the active roster on gameday, possibly even for this Sunday’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
