As you may recall, last September, Pat Mahomes Sr., father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, put in a guilty plea for his third DWI charge after he was arrested last February, just days before the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers.
His behavior then and his past behavior are the reasons why he has to ask the court for special permission to move around.
Such was the case this week when Mahomes Sr. was allowed to watch his son play golf for a good cause.
TMZ Sports is reporting that authorities in Texas have given the elder Mahomes permission to attend Patrick Mahomes II’s charity golf event in Vegas.
The Kansas City Chiefs star is planning to throw a bash at Shadow Creek Golf Course this week, which will be in an effort to help raise some funds for his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.
According to the website, the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation are dedicated to improving the lives of children through initiatives that focus on health, wellness, underserved communities, and other charitable causes.
The organization encourages children to develop a love for reading by reading for 15 minutes a day, partners with the Youth Volunteer Corps to encourage youth to volunteer 15 hours, and supports 15 youth charitable initiatives.
TMZ added that Patrick Mahomes Sr. asked his probation officer if he could go see it in person, and it was approved. The 54-year-old former MLB pitcher will be in Sin City from Wednesday to Sunday.
He also reportedly promised to submit a urine test when he gets back home on May 19.
Former MLB pitcher Pat Mahomes, the father of Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes, argued with fellow ex-pitcher John Rocker over the Super Bowl weekend.
It was all planned out for them to drum up interest in an already scheduled boxing match.
On Feb. 12, Portnoy announced that Mahomes Sr. and Rocker had signed contracts to fight at Barstool’s Rough ‘N’ Rowdy brawl.
Unfortunately, Mahomes Sr.’s family thought it would be a bad look, and the fight was canceled.
