At least two people were shot in the Spring Garden neighborhood of Philadelphia on Friday. The shooting occurred while the Eagles celebrated their second Super Bowl victory with a parade.
Very few details have been released thus far, but CBS News does report that the shooting happened at 23rd and Spring Garden Streets. They have no information, however, on exactly when the shooting took place, what caused it, or what the status is of the people who were shot.
Over one million people were expected to be attend Friday’s parade in Philadelphia. According to PennLive, the parade began at the South Philadelphia sports complex at 11 a.m. then moved toward City Hall and ended at the Philadelphia Museum of Art along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Last year, 23 people were shot, 9 of them children, and one person was killed in a mass shooting on the west side of Union Station in Kansas City during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade. 18 other victims visited local hospitals following the shooting with non-gunshot-related injuries.
The Citizen app reports that police are searching for a suspect in a grey Eagles jersey with green numbers on the back. They also report that that police are saying three people were shot, two were female and that they were injured in their legs.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports both of the women are in their 20s. Both are also reported to be in stable condition. Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore said the women were shot by a man in an Eagles jersey after an argument. It is currently unclear if the women knew the shooter.
