As the Las Vegas Raiders return from their bye this week, let’s look at how their rookie class has fared so far this season:

Ashton Jeanty:

The No. 6 overall draft pick has been on the field for 68 percent of the Raiders’ offensive snaps. He has 445 rushing yards (14th most in the NFL through Week 7) and is averaging 4 yards per carry. He also has 15 receptions. He only has one game with more than 75 yards rushing. The biggest issue with Jeanty has been his lack of consistent blocking. He has been hit behind the line of scrimmage regularly. Still, Jeanty has shown an ability to break tackles. Overall, he hasn’t been spectacular, which was expected, but he has been solid when given the chance.

Jack Bech:

The second-round pick has played more recently, but, overall he’s played just 32 percent of the snaps. He has seven catches for 73 yards and he has been targeted 10 times. So, he hasn’t done much. But he should get more opportunities as the season progresses.

Darien Porter:

The cornerback, taken in the third round, was a starter to begin the preseason, but he has played just 24 percent of the snaps and he didn’t play defense in three games He’s looked good when he’s played. He needs to get more chances.

Caleb Rogers:

The offensive lineman, taken in the third round, has been inactive for all but one game. Barring injuries, that will likely be the case for the season season.

Charles Grant:

The offensive lineman, taken in the third round, has been active for three games because Kolton Miller is out for with a high-ankle sprain. He’s probably going to stay a deep backup for the rest of the season, which has the plan for the raw talent.

Dont’e Thornton:

The wide receiver, taken in the fourth round, has played 55 percent of the snaps. He played a season-high 85 percent of the snaps in Week 7 because Jakobi Meyers was hurt. But he did see a play decrease prior to that. Thornton was a training-camp standout who has given a ton of chances to produce. But he hasn’t done much. He didn’t have a coach in the past four games and has five receptions on 19 targets on the season. We will see if he continues to play more after the bye week. But it’s clear he still has a lot of developing to do.

Tonka Hemingway:

The fourth-round pick has been inactive for five games.

JJ Pegues:

The defensive tackle, taken in the sixth round, has also been inactive for five games. Like Hemingway, Pegues should get more chances later in the season.

Cody Lindenberg:

The seventh-round pick played no snaps on defense, but he has become a core special teamer.

Carter Runyan:

The undrafted free agent tight end played the past four games, playing sparingly on offense and on special teams. With Brock Bowers expected back this week, Runyan may have a hard time...
