Around SB Nation: Patriots fire Jerod Mayo
The Phinsider The Phinsider

The Patriots have moved on from Jerod Mayo after only one season.

After their game on Sunday, the New England Patriots announced that Jerod Mayo would not be back as their head coach meaning Mayo only lasted one season after replacing Bill Belichick. You could argue that Mayo was setup to fail with how the roster was constructed but he also didn’t do himself any favors with how he handled some decisions and interactions with the media. It sounds like Mike Vrabel is the frontrunner to become the Patriots new head coach and he has caused the Dolphins plenty of problems from his time with the Tennessee Titans. Check out what the Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals, and other NFL teams are talking about in our roundup.
