The Arizona Cardinals are headed in the right direction under general manager Monti Ossenfort and head coach Jonathan Gannon. Last year, they came close to a playoff appearance by winning eight games. But now there’s a certain sense of confidence in the air, with the Cardinals believing they can take the next step toward securing a playoff spot.
While the Cardinals already feel like the work they’ve done this offseason is good enough to help take the next step, they could still have a sneaky move or two up their sleeves. But what about adding a well-known superstar to help Kyler Murray return to being a Pro Bowl quarterback, or better?
Specifically, Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay believes the Cardinals’ front office should prepare a trade offer for Miami Dolphins All-Pro receiver Tyreek Hill. Kay’s idea is for the Cardinals to send a third-round pick, plus a fourth-rounder in exchange to Miami for Hill, and then likely signing him to a contract extension that extends past his current deal, which expires at the end of the 2026 league year.
Pairing Hill with Marvin Harrison Jr feels like a dream, especially for Murray. Plus, the Cards still have Trey McBride, who emerged as a bona fide weapon last season, going off for a career-high 1,146 receiving yards. Put all three of them together with James Conner bruising defenders out of the backfield, and the Cardinals’ offense could suddenly morph into a top-five scoring unit.
