It has been a question with Jonathan Gannon teams since he arrived and for the first time we will see the Arizona Cardinals roll out the starters in the preseason.
So, what can we expect?
Well that is yet to be seen, but for the Cardinals it will mean we see Kyler Murray and much of the first team offense against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday.
We will get a look at some of the new defensive additions, but in a very bland and vanilla way, which I believe everyone is really okay with because we at least get to see the starters.
It is a change in philosophy, but one that makes sense.
In year one, Kyler was coming off the ACL injury, so you knew things would be lean as they got the right players in and waited for the quarterback to come back.
They also had the Colt McCoy situation playing itself out.
Year two, that was something that a lot of people wondered about, but I will maintain what I said on the podcast, sometimes you are willing to see who is willing to buy-in as you are building something. Culture is important, and while it cannot outplay talent, talent within the culture can make a team dangerous. That is where we are.
It is year three, the expectations are now changed, and the standard is different. It seems like the players are there and buying into what Jonathan Gannon is building, now can they get the payoff?
