It is only the preseason, most of the starters didn’t play, and they pulled Jacoby Brissett and crew pretty quickly. And yet this felt like a tough one to watch.
The Arizona Cardinals were handled by the Denver Broncos 27-7 in their second preseason game. In what seemed like an extension of the joint practice on Thursday where no defensive units could slow down a Broncos offense, which is what the concern obviously is about the Arizona Cardinals this season, that they are incredibly top heavy and may not be able to hold up if anything happens to the top guys this.
Brissett once again had a short first drive before finding a nice rhythm on his second drive of the game.
Then it was Clayton Tune time and it was not pretty for the Arizona Cardinals offense.
The issue has become when you are a top heavy team, you need the heavies to have a chance and the Cardinals just seem to have no chance without their stars.
One preseason game left and then hopefully the guys who will be making plays in the season will be on the field weekly.
