Revenge of the Birds
The Arizona Cardinals once again found themselves with a chance.
I guess that’s all that fans want anymore, because they fall to 1-5 with Jacoby Brissett as quarterback and now are 2-14 in the Jonathan Gannon era when any quarterback not named Kyler Murray starts games.
The defense once again played well enough to win, a second straight week, although it wasn’t as impactful as last week’s four turnovers forced game, but the offense was once again impotent.
Yardage and plays don’t matter when you don’t score points.
After giving up an average of 35.3 points per game the last three weeks, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just needed to play the Arizona Cardinals to get things going again, allowing just 17 points.
On the surface the offense was fine, but they continue to fail when given opportunities and they continue to rely on a quarterback who is now 2-10 in his last 12 starts.
You can’t place blame on anything more than continued offensive ineptitude the last two weeks.
Maybe the tank really is on.
