The Arizona Cardinals boast one of the best running back rooms in the NFL.

The Arizona Cardinals are heading into training camp, and we are taking a look at the roster and each position group.
Yesterday we looked at the quarterbacks and the only question about the roster is will they keep two or three.
Today, well there may be even less of a conversation.
Unless they get a wild hair about someone else, the roster seems mostly set, with one player fighting for a spot on the active roster, and one player trying to crack the roster.
Running Backs: Good/Great room, strong depth, assigned roles
Starter - James Conner
Lead Backup - Trey Benson
Swiss Army Knife - Emari Demercado
Special Teams Guy - DeeJay Dallas
The Wildcard - Michael Carter
The longshot - Bam Knight
Again, this room seems fairly defined. They released Carter at the end of camp last year, much to the chagrin of fans, and he ended up on the practice squad then active roster.
So, they may look to do the same in 2025.
Knight just feels like he has little chance to make this roster, but stranger things have happened.
This is a very strong room, and maybe the best overall position group on the roster.
