Arizona Cardinals likely not to play starters against Denver Broncos
Revenge of the Birds Revenge of the Birds

We are into the 2025 preseason, and that means we see the starters… right?

Well, after the Arizona Cardinals starters got work in preseason game one, they now may not see work in preseason game two.

However, it is not just because they don’t need to play, no instead it is because they had their joint practice with the Denver Broncos on Thursday, and the Broncos are not playing their starters and their head coach Sean Payton believes the Arizona Cardinals are not either.

My buddies Johnny and Bo over at PHNX Cardinals had a nice conversation on why it makes sense that the Cardinals will not play their starters as well.

My biggest thing is that if the Cardinals are not playing in the third preseason game, not playing in the second preseason game after an extremely physical joint practice on Thursday doesn’t matter. We are literally nitpicking over two days of work difference.

So, if the plan has been to not play starters in game three, then there is no difference to me in not playing them after the joint practice.

Also, let’s be honest, there is not a whole lot of winning if they are playing the Broncos backups.

If the Cardinals starters are killing it, it is against Broncos backups, if they suck, then we all start the end is near countdown.
