Happy preseason one and all.
The Arizona Cardinals are 1-0 and clearly heading to the Super Bowl.
Or, they did enough with the starters, showed some things, had some boneheaded plays, and in the end did enough to get a win in their preseason opener 20-17.
We saw an efficient offensive drive end by an inexplicable interception by Kyler Murray, but itโs the preseason, so it is what it is at this point.
The bigger concern of the night was the fact that the kick returners apparently cannot hold onto the football.
The starting defense gave up a touchdown but can we blame them?
Ideally they would have held them to a field goal after the Greg Dortch fumble, but again, it is the preseason and we didnโt see all the big guns out.
Jacoby Brissett and the second offense put up two touchdowns, and they did enough to get the win.
We will look at this more in depth this week.
