Are the Packers Really Good or are the Commanders Really Bad?
Crossing Broad Crossing Broad

The Packers beat up on the Commies and it wasn’t really close, despite being a one score game in the fourth quarter for a couple of moments. The Commies’ pass defense looks terrible, Jayden Daniels looks like he’s regressed, and the coaching was awful. My head bounced off the pillow a little extra this morning knowing we’re going to roll through the NFC East. The Packers, on the other hand, look like one of the best, if not the best, team in the league. Their pass rush is amazing now with the addition of Micah Parsons and Jordan Love looked good throughout most of the game. I can’t believe the best team Jerry Jones has built to beat the Eagles wasn’t even his own:

So I threw this question out on Twitter: Are the Packers really good or are the Commies really bad? A lot of people came up with a middle of the road answer:

Bit of both

Packers are 90% of what people think they are. Commies are 65% of what people think they are.

Both

I’m weary to crown a team great only two games into the season. There’s still so much that needs to play out and Green Bay lost their best receiver, Jayden Reed, to a broken collarbone for the next 6-8 weeks. I think Obinya and I share the same exact thought on the Packers:

Both. But the Packers are kind of a frustrating watch because despite their potential… they rarely put together a full – all cylinders are go game. They should be up 4 possessions vs letting teams kinda hang around.

Washington is just slow.

They should’ve WHOOPED the Commies. That offense was stuck in the mud for most of the game and the defense is old. The Packers could’ve dropped 40 on their head if Love doesn’t underthrow some balls and go 5/12 on third down. The thing with Love is that he’s consistently hot and cold. Just when you think he’s a top-5 QB in the game, he’ll do something dumb like throw off his back foot and get picked while forcing a ball into coverage. And listen, is this coming from a homer? Absolutely. But I think the Birds’ offensive line could create enough holes for Saquon Barkley and stifle the pass rush enough for Jalen Hurts to do some things. I’m not trying to take anything away from the Packers. They’re a legit team. I just think the Eagles match up well with them if they can get to Love. We’re still talking about the team that only scored 10 points in the playoffs against the Birds last year. Also, they tried to ban the Tush Push, so it’s not like there isn’t some extra motivation there for the...
