Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown is getting praised online following a remarkable gesture toward the family of a fallen police officer.

Sgt. J.D. White, a 19-year veteran of the Angletton Police Department in Texas, lost his life after getting struck by a vehicle while escorting a funeral procession. It appears White was beloved by those who knew him, with law enforcement agencies, as well as residents, mourning his loss.

Brown, who typically trends for controversial reasons, is receiving plaudits after announcing plans to raise funds for the lawman’s family.
