The Colts QB suffered a dislocated pinkie early in the Preseason opener on Thursday, but has returned to practice just 2 days later.

Richardson suffered no ligament damage according to his X-rays, making his recovery window day to day per Colts Head Coach Shane Steichen. Richardson himself told the media in the post-game press conference that it was a dislocation and he was able to pop his pinkie back in.

With some extra time before Week 2 vs the Green Bay Packers, it appears likely that the young QB will be able to return to action and continue to compete for the starting QB job with Daniel Jones next Saturday, barring setback or caution by Colts medical staff. Richardson completed 2 of 3 passes for 21 yards (not including a called-back 7 yard screen to rookie Tight End Tyler Warren for illegal man downfield) prior to suffering his injury early on in the game.
