Christian Barmore just made the New England Patriots’ week that much worse.
The New England Patriots star defensive tackle is facing a domestic assault charge, per WCVB. This is just even more bad news for a franchise still trying to deal with the Stefon Diggs situation.
Barmore is charged with one count of assault and battery on a family/household member. The misdemeanor charge stems from an alleged incident in Mansfield on August 8.

Stefon Diggs faces charges of felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery. His incident went down on December 2. Diggs is scheduled to be in court on Friday, January 23, for his arraignment. That date falls two days before the AFC Championship Game.
A woman who was working as a private chef claims Diggs entered her bedroom. They spoke about the money owed to her. That is when he allegedly smacked her. As she pushed him away, Diggs tried to choke her by placing his elbow around her neck. The woman also claims that Diggs’ assistant tried to get her to sign an NDA before she received payment.
Christian Barmore’s news couldn’t have come at a worse time.
According to the report, the victim had been in a relationship with Barmore. The alleged victim says he became enraged with her about the air conditioning temperature in his bedroom. They also argued about food.
The court documents reveal Barmore grabbed her phone from her hands while she was trying to leave the house. Charging documents stated the victim “intended to open the door and scream for help, but Christian grabbed her before she could and threw her to the floor.”
She further added that Christian Barmore grabbed her by the shirt “in the area of the neck.” He would eventually let her go. Much like Stefon Diggs, the criminal complaint was issued on December 16.
Barmore is scheduled to be arraigned on February 3, 2026, five days before Super Bowl LX.
