“Another Lie”: Shedeur Sanders Claps Back At Fake Report

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders took to social media to shut down a viral rumor about him spending $500,000 on a luxurious Rolls-Royce vehicle.

Shedeur’s brother, Deion Sanders Jr., posted a video of their father’s estate on his Well Off Media YouTube channel. One clip of the video shows a truck delivering a dark green Rolls-Royce at Deion Sanders’ home, and folks on social media were quick to assume that Shedeur bought the car for himself:

Respect: Browns rookie QB Shedeur Sanders just copped a custom Rolls-Royce worth over $500K.

Even as a 5th-round pick, he’s been ballin’ out in Cleveland, well-earned reward for how he’s been showing up. pic.twitter.com/SurizBVWap

Inspirational: Browns star rookie QB Shedeur Sanders bought himself a custom Rolls-Royce worth over $500K.

Despite being drafted in the 5th round, Sanders had performed phenomenally thus far in Cleveland.

A much-deserved gift to himself 👏 pic.twitter.com/do0dWH6XIe

But Shedeur Sanders took to X/Twitter and responded to Dov Kleiman’s post about the Rolls-Royce, calling it “Another lie” and adding that his attention is on his team and “not a car purchase.”

Another lie…. I’m focused on my team not a car purchase ! https://t.co/yRK1lvpgR6

So there you have it. The car doesn’t belong to Shedeur, after all.

Sanders signed his four-year rookie contract worth $4.6 million last week, including a $447,380 signing bonus. The Browns selected the Colorado product in the fifth round (144th overall) following his stunning draft fall.

Shedeur Sanders joins a crowded Cleveland quarterback room with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel and Deshaun Watson. However, Watson is expected to miss most (if not all) of 2025 recovering from a torn Achilles.

Flacco was brought back in free agency after a frustrating stint with the Indianapolis Colts, and Pickett was acquired via trade after backing up Jalen Hurts on the Philadelphia Eagles, who went on to win Super Bowl 59.

Shedeur Sanders’ Slide Was The Top Storyline Of 2025 NFL Draft

Sanders was the consensus No. 2 quarterback of the 2025 NFL Draft, behind eventual first overall pick Cam Ward. It was stunning enough when Sanders went uncalled in round one, but the surprise grew bigger when he had to wait until day three to be drafted by Cleveland.

But Sanders’ draft slide doesn’t mean his NFL story has been written. Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Brett Favre and Roger Staubach are among the all-time great NFL quarterbacks who had to wait until after round one to hear their names called.
