CBS revealed that Ian Eagle (play-by-play), J.J. Watt (color) and Evan Washburn (sideline) will have the call for the Steelers-Browns game in Week 6.
This will be the third time this year that the crew will call a Steelers game. The first time came in Week 1 against the New York Jets and the second was in Week 3 against the New England Patriots. The Steelers won both games.
The Steelers-Jets game marked J.J. Watt’s first game as a color analyst for the network. His first time in the booth was last year when Netflix had the Steelers-Chiefs game on Christmas Day. J.J. Watt spent time in The NFL Today studio last season.
J.J. Watt played a dozen seasons in the NFL, spending the bulk of his odyssey with the Houston Texans, for whom he is the franchise’s all-time sacks leader. He led the league in sacks in 2012 and 2015, earned three Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year awards and five first-team AP All-Pro nods.

The Browns, who are off to a 1-3 start, benched veteran quarterback Joe Flacco in favor of rookie third-round pick Dillon Gabriel ahead of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
All signs point to Gabriel starting against the Steelers in Week 6 at Acrisure Stadium. The Browns defense has been impressive this season, but the offense been absolutely brutal. The Steelers should be big favorites at home against Cleveland, especially with a rookie quarterback under center.
The Steelers are 26-6 under Mike Tomlin against rookie QBs. The Browns have also not beat the Steelers in a regular season game in Pittsburgh since 2003.
Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw shade at the Cleveland Browns once again. Speaking on his Footbahlin podcast, Roethlisberger called the game against the Browns in Week 6 the Steelers’ second bye in a row.
“I said it’s our second bye in a row. I don’t foresee a big issue with the Browns,” Roethlisberger said.
The Steelers currently have a 34% chance to win the AFC North. They also have favorable matchups in their next two games after their bye week against the Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. A 5-1 start seems very likely.
