The Philadelphia Eagles are stacked at almost every position.
However, even after leading the team to a Super Bowl win, quarterback Jalen Hurts doesn’t receive much credit from NFL fans and some media members.
That’s not the case with FOX Sports host Jason McIntyre.
Talking on “The Herd,” McIntyre made one of the boldest claims yet about Hurts.
“He’s, I think, the best dual-threat quarterback the league has ever seen,” McIntyre said.

McIntyre used Hurts’ four consecutive seasons with at least 15 touchdown passes and 10 rushing touchdowns to make his argument.
That would make sense on paper, but context matters.
Yes, Hurts is a good athlete who can make plays with his legs.
Nevertheless, 33 of his 55 career rushing touchdowns have come from the Eagles’ “Tush Push” play.
Of course, that’s not to say he doesn’t deserve credit, as he needs incredible lower-body strength for that play to be as effective as it is.
Then again, that’s not how other dual-threat quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson, Cam Newton or Michael Vick got their rushing TDs.
Not to take anything away from Hurts, who’s a very accomplished quarterback, but this clearly inflates his numbers.
He also happens to play behind arguably the best offensive line in football.
Hurts should get the credit he deserves, but this sounds like a stretch.
As good as he is, numbers only tell one part of the story.
