The Kansas City Chiefs will go for an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl championship when they face the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

It will be a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, when the Chiefs pushed past the Eagles after trailing at halftime.

Like that game, this one is expected to be close, but one analyst said one of the teams has a clear advantage.

“Roster-construction-wise, I think the Philadelphia Eagles are the best roster in football, and I think they’re better than Kansas City,” Mark Schlereth said, via Zach Gelb.

The former NFL offensive lineman cited Philadelphia’s superior offensive line and skill players, as well as its outstanding defense.

On the other hand, Schlereth said Kansas City head coach Andy Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes even things out, and he called Mahomes’ past three seasons the greatest run in NFL history.

The Eagles had arguably the best defense in football over the second half of the schedule, and they have the game’s best running back in Saquon Barkley, who became the latest player to record 2,000 rushing yards in one season.

A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith make up one of the best wide receivers tandems, and Jalen Hurts remains a top quarterback.

However, the Chiefs, particularly Mahomes, have an aura of inevitability about them, and the QB is just as clutch as Tom Brady and Joe Montana once were.

If the Eagles end up with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, it would likely be considered at least somewhat of an upset.
