The Philadelphia Eagles‘ offense has been a talking point in their two wins, and rightfully so.
It seems like they have so much untapped potential, and new offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo hasn’t made the most of it.
However, that’s not the case with the defense under coordinator Vic Fangio.
Though cornerback Adoree’ Jackson struggled early, the rest of the unit has been lights out in the first two games.

Vic Fangio couldn’t work his magic in his brief tenure with the Miami Dolphins, but he’s been a total blessing for the Philadelphia Eagles since he took over last season.
He has a plethora of weapons to work with, but he also deserves credit for the job he’s done, especially considering how much the defense struggled in the season after former coordinator Jonathan Gannon left to become head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.
Fangio has built a culture of accountability, calling out young stars like Jalen Carter.
Of course, general manager Howie Roseman also deserves praise for the way he’s put together a defense that features a combination of youth and experience.
With young stars like cornerbacks Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell, plus Carter and rookie linebacker Jihaad Campbell, the team is in a position to stay strong on defense for years to come.
While the offense could be more exciting, this is the type of defense that wins championships.
