The Kansas City Chiefs seem headed for an unprecedented third straight Vince Lombardi Trophy, but the Philadelphia Eagles will have the opportunity to spoil that plan when the two teams meet in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9.
Saquon Barkley will obviously be the man in the spotlight for Philly after he became the latest NFL running back to notch 2,000 rushing yards in a single season, but quarterback Jalen Hurts will need to have an outstanding performance if Philly is to upset Patrick Mahomes and crew.
There is a feeling that Hurts will have to have a great game throwing the football if Philly is to win, and Yahoo football analyst Nate Tice said on “The Jim Rome Show” that Hurts will have to be successful attacking the blitz on deep passes.

Over the last couple of years, the Chiefs have gone from a high-flying, high-scoring team into one that plays complementary football and wins with defense.
They finished fourth in points allowed during the regular season, and they have shown the ability to get key stops when needed, especially in crunch time.
Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is possibly the best in the NFL, and he has a knack for disguising certain defensive packages, especially blitzes, in order to keep opposing offenses guessing.
Hurts completed 20 of 28 pass attempts in the NFC Championship Game this past Sunday, and during the regular season, he threw for 2,903 yards and 18 touchdowns while achieving a career-high 103.7 passer rating.
This year’s Super Bowl will be a rematch of the big game from two years ago, when Philly took a 10-point halftime lead, only to lose in the final seconds on a Harrison Butker field goal.
