Analyst Warren Sharp of Sharp Football reveals the Pittsburgh Steelers disadvantages during their brutal 2025 schedule.

The Pittsburgh Steelers seem to have their work cut out for them once again in 2025. After having an end-of-season gauntlet last year, analyst Warren Sharp of Sharp Football believes they will be at a significant disadvantage this season, too.

Sharp reveals the Steelers have the toughest schedule from Week 7 on, along with having the second toughest rest disadvantage in the league. In five of their biggest games, which includes three divisional matchups, they will have a rest disadvantage.

Sharp also reveals Pittsburgh will play just one team that is expected to have less than eight wins and the Cleveland Browns after Week 10, setting up what will likely be yet another end-of-season gauntlet.

Last season, the Steelers schedule didn’t treat them very nicely, losing five straight games, including their wild-card matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, to finish the year. They will now have to hope they don’t suffer a similar fate in 2025.

A big reason why Pittsburgh will have similar disadvantages to that from a year ago is due to its Week 5 bye. The team is getting an early bye because it will travel to Dublin, Ireland in Week 4 for a game against the Minnesota Vikings.

However, president Art Rooney II revealed the Steelers never asked for it.

“Let’s say this, we didn’t ask for the bye after the Ireland game,” Rooney said. “The league has in the past, kind of tended to try to give teams their bye following an International Game. I don’t think that’s the rule anymore, but you know it’s not a bad way to do it. It is a long trip, and so it doesn’t hurt to have the bye coming after that.”

Only time will tell how Pittsburgh will fair in yet another brutal stretch to end the season, but maybe the team learned a thing or two from its similar stretch last year.
