More media down in New Orleans:

“Honestly, I was hurt. Last game, I got healthy. And you all saw it. I’m ready to go. I’m truly grateful.”

It was pretty evident to anyone with a set of functioning eyeballs that A.J. Brown wasn’t 100% during the Green Bay and LA playoff games. He finished Snow Bowl II with two catches on seven targets for 14 yards. There was the drop on the deep ball that he catches 999 times out of 1,000. The film guys watched the all-22 and, elements aside, they noticed that he just didn’t look very crisp against the Rams’ corners.

Fast forward to the NFC Championship Game, where he went for 96 yards and a touchdown on six catches. He looked like a totally different player. It was the first truly impactful game he had played in a month.

RE: the Chiefs, Brown had one catch for eight yards on four targets at Arrowhead last season. But he did catch six passes for 96 yards and a score in Super Bowl 57. Interestingly enough, DeVonta Smith is the guy who has killed the Chiefs in each of those games, but a healthy A.J. Brown and healthy Dallas Goedert obviously makes a huge difference ahead of Sunday.

Reporting for Crossing Broad, I’m captain obvious.
