A.J. Brown is a Super Bowl champion.
He had some ups and downs throughout the year with the Philadelphia Eagles, but he showed up when it mattered most, and will soon have a Super Bowl ring to show for it.
Brown’s career started with the Tennessee Titans before he was traded to the Eagles, as he was selected with the 51st pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
He was a great player for the Titans when he was with the organization, and seemed happy to be there.
However, as he shared in a recent story, being selected by the Titans was not on his draft day bingo card.
Brown was certain that the New England Patriots were going to take him in the first round, but when the Patriots drafted N’Keal Harry instead, it was a dark day for him.
“I told my brother, let’s go, and I left everybody at the house and went home, I went in the closet, and cried my eyes out,” Brown said via Savage Sports on X.

Brown wanted to play with Tom Brady and the Patriots, but at the time, the team didn’t see him as a first-rounder.
In hindsight, Brown has turned out to be a better player than Harry at the NFL level, and there’s no telling what he might have been able to accomplish with Brady as his quarterback.
Regardless of what happened on draft day, Brown can take solace in the fact that he has performed well on two separate NFL teams and that he has been a solid fit in the league.
