The Philadelphia Eagles are heading into a crucial NFC East matchup against the Washington Commanders with questions about the status of A.J. Brown.
Despite a late-game scare in a victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers, where James Pierre’s questionable hip-drop tackle raised concerns, Brown appears to have avoided any serious injury.
His appearance on the injury report had fans holding their breath, but the star receiver seems ready for action.
When reporters pressed Brown about his condition, he initially played it coy.
After taking his time to respond, he cracked a smile and kept it simple.
“I’m playing,” he said, via Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94 WIP.

The season hasn’t been without its challenges for Brown, who missed three games with a hamstring issue.
Though he couldn’t pinpoint exactly when the recent knee problem occurred, he acknowledged it’s just another hurdle in a long NFL season.
“I was fine after the game, fine the next day, fine the day after that. So, just kinda comes with the game,” Brown said. “I guess over a period of time, stuff like that starts to happen, but you find a way to get through it, got to play through stuff. Nobody’s healthy ….”
He will be looking to build on his standout performance from the win against the Steelers when he posted eight catches, 110 yards and one touchdown.
His season stats also are impressive: 56 catches, 946 yards and five touchdowns in 11 games.
He’s about to notch his fifth 1,000-yard season, adding another milestone to what’s been an excellent year.
That said, the stakes are particularly high for this NFC East game. If the Eagles can handle the Commanders, they’ll lock up the division title.
