The Philadelphia Eagles escaped Week 1 with a narrow win against the Dallas Cowboys.
However, as is usually the case with Nick Sirianni’s team, the talk hasn’t been about the team’s performance or the final score.
Instead, people are talking about A.J. Brown‘s limited role.
The Pro Bowl wide receiver said he won’t allow that to change his approach, and he’s bringing the same mindset into their Week 2 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“I just try to stay locked in on my assignment. Work on things that I need to get better with and be ready when my number’s called. That’s the only thing I can focus on, and, like I said, be ready,” Brown said.
AJ Brown still locked in. And saying all the right things. Not that I thought he wouldn’t, but this guy wants the ball wants to make an impact with it in his hands.

Jalen Hurts targeted Brown once in the season opener, in the fourth quarter.
As much as the Eagles run a run-heavy offense, that has to be a bit of a concern.
Brown and Hurts reportedly no longer see eye to eye, and this isn’t the first time that the receiver has been a non-factor.
Hurts hasn’t even looked his way at times, yet they continue to deny that their personal relationship plays a role in this situation.
In the end, all that matters to the Eagles is that they win games.
Also, it’s hard to believe that this will become a trend this season, considering how much they’re paying Brown.
Nevertheless, he is known to have a somewhat fiery personality.
If this lack of action continues, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him either request a trade or make headlines with comments about his frustration.
