A.J. Brown Names Top 5 WRs In The NFL
The Cold Wire The Cold Wire

A.J. Brown has been one of the most powerful and productive receivers in the NFL ever since he entered the league in 2019, though the Super Bowl champion posted just one catch for eight yards in the Philadelphia Eagles‘ season-opening victory against the Dallas Cowboys.

That performance was certainly an aberration, and many would still consider him among the top five receivers in the league, and if you ask him, he would agree.

Insider Jordan Schultz shared a clip of him asking Brown who his top five receivers in the league are at the moment, and he said he had Justin Jefferson as the best, followed by Ja’Marr Chase, himself, CeeDee Lamb, and Amon-Ra St. Brown.

“I’m going to go Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, I would put myself third, I would put CeeDee Lamb fourth, and five, Amon-Ra St. Brown,” Brown said.

Who are the top 5 WRs in the NFL right now?!

I asked #Eagles WR AJ Brown … and he answered honestly, without bias.

With so much incredible talent at the position around the league, it’s tough to narrow it down to a top five, but this is a commendable list that many would agree with.

Jefferson has put up numbers that are nearly unmatched across NFL history through five years, while Chase led the league in just about everything last year.

Brown would likely be putting up gaudier numbers if he hadn’t spent his entire career playing for run-first teams, as the Tennessee Titans were built around Derrick Henry for his first three years in the league before being sent to the Eagles, who now have a 2,000-yard back of their own in Saquon Barkley.

None of these guys put up huge numbers in Week 1, so it will be interesting to see if any of them blow up in Week 2.
