Most professional athletes devote some space in their house to commemorate what they’ve achieved while playing. That includes A.J. Brown, who decided to buy a mannequin to show off the jersey he rocked while helping the Eagles win the Super Bowl.
Your home tends to be a reflection of who you are as a person, and if you play a sport for a living, it’s only natural that you’re going to have at least a couple of references to the career that helped pay for your pad.
Plenty of particularly accomplished players have a literal trophy room where they can show off the pieces of hardware they were able to collect. Others may not go as far (or have any actual trophies to display), but there’s a good chance they’ll end up displaying at least a few pieces of memorabilia with some special significance—like, say, the jersey they wore when they won the Super Bowl.
A.J. Brown added that particular memento to his collection after the Eagles beat the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX in a game where the wide receiver had three receptions for 43 yards—including the 12-yard touchdown pass he snagged to give Philadelphia a 24-0 lead in the closing minutes of the second half that ended up being the game-winning score.
Based on the video his girlfriend Kelsey Riley shared on TikTok, he decided to commemorate the victory with a new addition to what is presumably his basement by purchasing a lifesize mannequin that now displays the helmet, jersey, pants, and cleats he was rocking during The Big Game.
As Riley noted in the caption, Brown neglected to wash the uniform before mounting it on the mannequin, but it’s hard to blame him for wanting to preserve the stains (and the residual Super Bowl magic).
