Can the Tennessee Titans win the AFC South? They are a heavy underdog over at FanDuel. They have the longest odds to win the division at +650. I don’t hate that bet. This division is as wide open top to bottom as any in the NFL. The Houston Texans, who are the betting favorite to win it at +110, have a lot of questions heading into the season. C.J. Stroud was great in his rookie year but pretty bad last year. The Texans are the best team on paper if he bounces back.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have the second best odds at +290, but they have plenty of questions of their own. Trevor Lawrence hasn’t lived up to the player he was supposed to be. Will that change now that Liam Coen is calling the shots for the Jags’ offense?
Then you have the Indianapolis Colts. They have far more questions than they do answers. Their odds to win the division are +330. So FanDuel is telling us that the Colts and Daniel Jones are almost twice as likely to win the division as the Titans. If there were a place that I could bet the Titans to finish ahead of the Colts in the AFC South, I’d be all over that.
The Titans probably don’t win the division. They would need an incredible run of health, luck, and an amazing rookie year from Cam Ward to do it, but at +650 with the questions surrounding the other teams, it might be a bet worth making.
