The Indianapolis Colts are first place in the AFC. Who saw that coming!? After the Buffalo Bills lost on Sunday Night Football to end their undefeated season, the Colts swapped places with them for the top spot in the conference.
The Jacksonville Jaguars don’t play until Monday night, so these standings are a bit incomplete for now but we will update. All the AFC South teams that played on Sunday won with the Tennessee Titans improbably coming back to beat the Arizona Cardinals and the Houston Texans throttling the injury-depleted Baltimore Ravens. You know the Colts thumped the Las Vegas Raiders. If the Jags can knock off the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football it will be a clean sweep.
1. Indianapolis Colts (4-1)
2. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1)
3. Houston Texans (2-3)
4. Tennessee Titans (1-4)
If the Jags win, they will have the same record as the Colts but their 2-1 conference record will be worse than the Colts’ perfect mark, so Indianapolis will be first place no matter what happens in Jacksonville.
The Buffalo Bills lost to the New England Patriots on Sunday night, moving them below the Colts in the conference standings but keeping them atop the AFC East.
The Pittsburgh Steelers were on a bye while the rest of their division took Ls, so they furthered their lead without even playing.
The Los Angeles Chargers will stay in first place in the AFC West by virtue of their wins over the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs.
