Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic takes a look at 11 general manager candidates to keep an eye on for the Dolphins:
- Rodrigue notes that Eagles assistant GM Alec Halaby has worked his way up from a football operations entry-level role in 2007. He leads the organization in multiple areas, including talent identification and player evaluation, roster and resource management, and overall organizational strategy.
- Rodrigue names Colts assistant GM Ed Dodds, who has been a “key voice” in Indianapolis’ resurgence and helped modernize their football strategies.
- As for 49ers executive Josh Williams, Rodrigue writes that he has a role in contract negotiations and oversees talent identification.
- With Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham, Rodrigue mentions that he has “advised” GM Ryan Poles on Chicago’s free agency rebuild and investment into the offensive line, receivers, and running backs through the draft.
- Patriots executive Ryan Cowden has been a key part of New England’s rebuild under HC Mike Vrabel.
- Seahawks assistant GM Nolan Teasley is one of GM John Schneider‘s top executives and brings top-level experience in pro, college scouting, and personnel roles.
- Packers executive Jon-Eric Sullivan has worked his way up through the scouting, personnel executive, and football operations departments.
- Chargers assistant GM Chad Alexander has a long-time scouting and personnel executive background, and has been an important part of Los Angeles’ rebuild under GM Joe Hortiz.
- Buccaneers assistant GM Mike Greenberg has been with Tampa Bay since 2010 and helped build their Super Bowl roster with Tom Brady, along with becoming a contender with Baker Mayfield.
- Lions assistant GM Ray Agnew came to Detroit in 2021 and helped GM Brad Holmes rebuild the team’s roster to its current level.
- Bengals assistant GM Trey Brown brings an extensive background in scouting, talent identification, and football operations.

Jets HC Aaron Glenn admitted that the team may not have a lot of short-term success but is confident in their long-term plans.
“I want this to be a team that the fans are proud of,” Glenn said, via PFT. “But again, I’ve never said that we’re going to be proud of them right now. At some point, I want this to be a team that the fans are proud of. I still stick with that. I will still say that. This is a team that the fans will be proud of. I’m not going to get into the patience and all that type of crap that you always hear, but I will tell you this – our guys are working, we’re going to continue to work, and I’m going to stand by that statement. I want this to be a team that the fans are proud of. Don’t let go of the rope, you’ve heard me say that before, and just continue to watch us work.”
