Colts

Colts CB Sauce Gardner shared his thoughts when Jets GM Darren Mougey told him that he was being traded. To his delight, he was happy to end up in Indianapolis.

Please let it be my ideal situation,” Gardner said, via PFT. “I don’t want to go to a losing team. I don’t want to go to a team on the other side of the world.

  • Jonathan Jones reports that all indications point towards the Colts re-signing QB Daniel Jones, as they currently have no first-round draft picks and have found success with the former Giants quarterback.

Jaguars

Jagurs K Cam Little set an NFL record with his 68-yard field goal against the Raiders in Week 9. Little said converting a kick from 70 yards in the preseason game gave him confidence going into Sunday’s game.

“The preseason attempt from 70 gave me confidence,” Little said, via Albert Breer of SI. “You just don’t want to turn an opportunity to get three points into an opportunity for the other team to get six [on a blocked or returned kick]. We’ve tried it so many times since I’ve been here, Trevor and the offense have been so good at getting the ball in two-minute situations down into the range. It puts me in the mindset to prepare to kick a field goal.”

Little thinks the talent level of kickers has improved down to the high school level.

“I can think back to when I was getting recruited in high school, if you could kick a 50-plus yarder from the ground you were getting scholarships from schools,” Little said. “I saw a kid from Alabama hit a 60-yarder the other day. The level down there is getting so much better, which is making the level in college higher and now wearing on the NFL. Jake Bates for the Lions hitting a 64-yarder [in the XFL] before he got there. Brandon Aubrey making the most 60-yarders ever. The talent level is rising, it’s kind of like the evolution of putting, it’s gotten so much better. You can say the K-ball does help but it doesn’t affect the talent level.”

Titans

  • Per Ian Rapoport, the Titans did right by S Quandre Diggs and granted his release from the team. He will now be subject to waivers and become a free agent if he clears it.
  • Diggs likely wants to move on to a contender after spending time on the Titans with his cousin, QB Cam Ward.
