NFL Trade Rumors
Ravens WR Rashod Bateman dealt with an ankle injury for most of the 2025 season after signing a three-year, $36.75 million extension. Baltimore GM Eric DeCosta couldn’t contain his excitement to get Bateman acclimated under new OC Declan Doyle after deeming last year “kind of a lost season” for the wideout.
“He’s a phenomenal athlete. Great route-runner. Rashod, it’s right there in front of him. He’s shown flashes of being a real problem for other teams,” DeCosta said, via 105.7 The Fan. “His mindset is good. I’m really, really excited to see how he does this year with Declan in this offense. Everybody’s excited about him. He’s got a lot of opportunities this year. Last year was just kind of a lost season in some ways, but that’s no indication of the type of player that we think he is and how he can help us. I love the guy. I know he’s probably his biggest critic, but he’s a playmaker, and I expect him to have a great year this year. I’m excited about him and I can’t wait to see how he looks in this offense.”
Steelers WR Michael Pittman, Jr. said that Pittsburgh has a great wide receiver room and WR DK Metcalf is the leader of it.
“DK [Metcalf] has been great,” Pittman said, via ESPN. “I think me and him are going to do well and like obviously if teams are going to double-team him, then that’s going to leave me free. If they’re going to double-team me, it’s going to leave him free. So it’s going to be great. And then we got Germ [Germie Bernard] and Rome [Roman Wilson], too. We’re not shorthanded on pass catchers.”
Steelers HC Mike McCarthy values his receivers being able to play multiple positions. Pittman said he’s up for the challenge and is comfortable both inside and out.
“I played every single spot so far, just being able to move around because you never know what happens during the course of the NFL season,” Pittman said. “Going to keep on dialing like that in. … We’ve all been moving around.”
McCarthy added that he’s impressed with WR Roman Wilson‘s work ethic and said that he’s put in the time to become one of the team’s top three receivers.
