This was always in the range of outcomes.

Adam Schefter has a bit of a news dump this morning heading up to the 2025 NFL Draft. In the linked article, he listed Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis at the top of the list of players on a rookie contract that could soon become expendable. He does not elaborate on it any further.

This could simply be a case of Schefter connecting the dots with the Titans set to draft Cam Ward on Thursday night. There could be nothing more to it than that.

However, Schefter could have some insight that there have been conversations between the Titans' front office and others around the league about Levis. Tennessee is not in a situation where they have to trade Levis. Having two young quarterbacks on a rookie contract is never a bad thing, but if the Titans can get something of value for Levis, they might want to go ahead and do it.

Of course, the problem is that Levis’s value has never been lower. They would get a late day three pick for him at this point. It might be better to hang on to him into the preseason to see if a team sustains an injury at the quarterback position.
