Two more games on the 2025 NFL schedule have been released, and let’s just say football fans will want to make zero plans for Dec. 20.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the NFL announced a doubleheader for Saturday, Dec. 20: The Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders in an NFC Championship Game rematch and a Green Bay Packers-Chicago Bears clash at Soldier Field. Both games will air on Fox.
If that’s not exciting enough, get this: Per ESPN’s Peter Schrager, the College Football Playoffs will feature a tripleheader, meaning there will be five premium football games in just one day.
FOX got two monster games on Saturday, December 20th in Bears-Packers and Eagles-Commanders.
That same day, the College Football Playoffs will have a triple-header.
Lot of football.

A big thank you to the NFL schedule makers, indeed. December 20th really can’t get here soon enough.

The full 2025 NFL schedule will be revealed on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. EST, but the league and its broadcast partners are announcing multiple marquee matchups ahead of time.
On Sunday, the league announced that the Eagles will welcome the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys in the NFL Kickoff Game on Sept. 4. The Eagles will also host Caleb Williams’ Bears at Lincoln Financial Field in the Black Friday game on Nov. 28.
Today, it was also announced that the Denver Broncos will visit Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in a “Thursday Night Football” game on Christmas Day.
We don’t have the dates and times yet, but some of the other marquee showdowns on the 2025 schedule include the Buffalo Bills vs. the Chiefs, the Eagles and KC in a Super Bowl 59 rematch, Buffalo vs. the Baltimore Ravens and the Detroit Lions vs. the Eagles.
As the AFC West and NFC North each sent three teams to the postseason last year, all of those divisional clashes will be pivotal as well.
