Taking a shot at the New York Jets is always on the menu for Aaron Rodgers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback played what might be his final game against the Houston Texans on Monday night. As he left the field, one Steelers fan could be heard screaming, “Retire, Aaron!” That was just the start of his night.

During his postgame press conference, Rodgers dropped a major F-bomb when asked about Mike Tomlin. “I’ve talked extensively about how I feel about Mike,” Rodgers said. “And I just did in that f**king answer.”

A clearly pissed Aaron Rodgers thinks highly of Tomlin. He certainly does not feel that way about a former team.

Aaron Rodgers Takes Parting Shot At The Jets

Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers were soundly defeated 30-6 by the Houston Texans on Monday night. After sneaking into the playoffs via a missed field goal by the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh was humbled. The Texans’ defense kept them out of the end zone all night long. That loss was Pittsburgh’s seventh straight in the postseason dating back to 2016.

“I’m not going to make any emotional decisions,” Rodgers told reporters postgame when pressed about his future. “Disappointed, obviously. Such a fun year. Lot of adversity, lot of fun.”

That wasn’t all he said. Aaron Rodgers wouldn’t commit to making any emotional decisions about the future of his career. He did, however, double down on shading his former team, the New York Jets, during his postgame press conference.

While reminiscing about his 18 seasons in Green Bay and his last season in Pittsburgh, he took a dig at the Jets.

Wild: Aaron Rodgers throws one last jab at the Jets in what could be his final press conference last night.

"There’s only a few very special places in the league that have the tradition, the town, the organization, and I'm thankful to have played for two of them."

“I was fortunate to play in an incredible football city for 18 years, and I never took it for granted and enjoyed that time there. And this has been a really beautiful back into that first 18, you know, to be able to be here for a year,” Rogers said in a clip shared on X/Twitter.

“There’s only a few really special places in the league that have the tradition, the town, the organization,” he continued. “And I’m thankful to have played for two of them.”

Aaron Rodgers’ tenure with the Jets began with a lot of hype but took a disastrous turn just four snaps into his 2023 debut. While he returned in 2024 to start 17 games, the team was still bad. The Jets struggled mightily with Justin Fields at QB this season, finishing 3-14.

They own the No. 2 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
