Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a clear message for anybody who is still doubting him.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers knows he has plenty of doubters heading into the 21st season of his NFL career. He does not care, though.

During his latest appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers had a blunt message for anyone who thinks he has completely lost it at 41.

“I don’t give a shit about that,” Rodgers said. “They can think whatever they want.”

Rodgers did look far from his four-time NFL MVP self last season while leading the New York Jets to a very disappointing 5-12 finish. But he proved to still have some good football left in him, completing 368 of 584 passes (63%) for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

In fact, those are better numbers than quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields’ combined for last year — 3,588 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions.

However, health is the main concern at Rodgers’ age. He suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon rupture on just his fourth offensive snap of his debut in 2023, and many have questioned if he will ever return as the same player.

The Steelers are certainly betting on that to be the case after waiting on him all offseason. They also added several other veterans like wide receiver DK Metcalf, tight end Jonnu Smith and cornerbacks Darius Slay and Jalen Ramsey with the hopes of contending for a Super Bowl this season.

Rodgers, along with Pittsburgh’s other additions, seem to have infused the offense with some much-needed optimism heading into 2025.

“His mindset is, ‘We’re going to do this because I know what the defense is gonna do and they don’t wanna do this.’ You see that experience, and playing with a Hall of Fame quarterback, it’s gonna be special. Sometimes, you can be given too much,” wide receiver Calvin Austin III said. “But he lets you play football.”

Only time will tell if things will be any different for the Steelers this season, but they are no longer lacking confidence.
