Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw did not hold back on the never-ending Aaron Rodgers saga back in May. Rodgers was nowhere in sight at OTAs, and that didn’t set with the four-time Super Bowl champion.
“That’s a joke,” Bradshaw said on 103.7 The Buzz’s Morning Mayhem Show when asked about Rodgers not giving the Steelers an answer yet. “That is to me just a joke. What are you going to do? Bring him in for one year? Are you kidding me?”
Bradshaw continued to rip Rodgers, even with some personal shots.
“That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark. Whisper to the gods out there,” Bradshaw said.
On Saturday at St. Vincent College, Rodgers responded to Bradshaw’s criticism during an interview with Kyle Brandt of NFL Network.
{He} is only basing those judgements off perception and ‘doesn’t know me,'” Rodgers said.
“I’ve known Terry for a long time, being a part of Fox. Terry’s a legend. He’s an absolute legend. He won four Super Bowls. He’s had a legendary career in the media. But Terry, like a lot of people, doesn’t know me. So he’s got an idea of what he thinks about me based on what I’ve done, the documentary, what I’ve said, darkness retreat, whatever the hell you want to talk about.
“I feel like if he gave me a chance to get to know him then we’d have a good friendship,” Rodgers added, “because for me I have nothing but the utmost amount of respect and deference for what the greats have done because they laid the foundation for us to be able to play in this great game, to be paid like kings. … So I’d love to get to know Terry on a deeper level if he’s open to it. Maybe we can go chew some bark, or whatever the hell he’s talking about, together.”
Terry Bradshaw said Aaron Rodgers should:
“Stay in California, chew on bark, and whisper to the gods.”

There’s a narrative attached to Rodgers that he isn’t the best teammate, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. New York Jets running back Breece Hall recently said in June on the Da Get Got Pod with Marshawn Lynch and Mike Robinson that the four-time NFL MVP was phenomenal in New York.
“Very misunderstood person,” Hall said. “Great dude, comes off to people a certain way. But once you really get to know him, you realize how good of a person he is. Last year, when you’re losing games, the blame gets put on the faces of the team, and it just so happened to be guys like me, Sauce [Gardner], Garrett [Wilson], Aaron [Rodgers], Quinnen [Williams], and Quincy [Williams].
“I feel like when you’re losing, somebody has to get let go — but what people don’t realize is when...
