CINCINNATI — Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was locked in on Thursday night against the Cincinnati Bengals. He demanded perfection, and he made running back Jaylen Warren know about it for a mishap in the first quarter.
Rodgers was upset with Warren on a failed flea flicker attempt.
On the play, it appears Rodgers called an audible to instead call a run play. Warren then took the hand off and tossed it back to the four-time MVP. He then threw the ball into the turf and let Warren know there was a miscommunication.
After the game, there were two different answers on what happened with the botched flea flicker.
When Rodgers was asked about it, he said the play call was not a flea flicker.
“It wasn’t supposed to be a flea flicker. We weren’t on the same page,” Rodgers said.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said ““It was” when asked if the play was supposed to be a flea flicker.
Aaron Rodgers went OFF on Jaylen Warren, who ran a flea-flicker by accident:
“What are you doing!??… It wasn’t a flea flicker."

After the moment, lots of speculation swirled and former offensive guard Scott Quessenberry explained what likely happened.
“Couldn’t see from the broadcast but usually if it’s a 2 high look they kill to run because advantage box and if it’s 1 high let it fricken rip!!” Quessenberry wrote on X.
