The friendship between Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph is genuinely endearing. While the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to figure out which quarterback will start on Sunday against the Chicago Bears, both signal-callers spoke to the media on Wednesday and couldn’t stop talking about how great the other is.

When Rodgers was asked about Rudolph, he was both complimentary and witty.

“He’s a troll,” Rodgers said while laughing. “He makes every day so much fun. I’ve told him just, ‘Thanks for making this fun.’ We joke in the quarterback room [that] he’s got a checklist of the jokes he’s gotta get off and out of his brain ever single day. But he’s hilarious and I really enjoy our time together in the room, in [the locker room], outside the facility. He’s a great backup. He’s super helpful during the week, he’s a professional, he’s ready to play. He’s a gamer.”

Rudolph responded with some wit of his own.

“That’s pretty harsh coming from a troll himself,” Rudolph said with a laugh. “I don’t have a list, but we have a good, healthy banter. All of us in the quarterback room each and every day. It’s been one of the most fun rooms I’ve ever been part of.”

Rudolph got one more joke in that Rodgers’ celebrity star power puts him at a disadvantage.

“We keep it light; he’s got a lot of material out there for me to use, so he’s at a little of a disadvantage. I don’t have the paparazzi waiting outside my house in Malibu every day.”

The duo clearly has a great relationship. Now it just comes down to which one of them will be the starter on Sunday against the Bears.
