Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (left wrist) was held out of Sunday’s loss to the Chicago Bears, but he still made sure to do some trash-talking to Bears fans.

While getting booed by the Bears faithful, Rodgers pointed toward the crowd and said, “I own you.”

Rodgers has had incredible success at Soldier Field from his days as the Green Bay Packers’ signal-caller. He’s 25-5 overall against the Bears and 12-3 at Solider Field. After a touchdown run in a Packers’ win over the Bears in 2021, Rodgers famously yelled, “All my f****** life, I still own you, I still own you’ to the crowd.

Rodgers leased his property to Mason Rudolph on Sunday, and let’s just say, things did not go well. Rudolph completed 24 of 31 passes (77.4%) for 171 yards with one touchdown, one interception, and a passer rating of 86.9 in a 31-28 loss. He also had a crucial fumble after being sacked by Montez Sweat, which resulted in a turnover.

Rodgers was pushing to play against the Bears, but head coach Mike Tomlin held him out of the game. Tomlin anticipates that Rodgers will be ready to play on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

“I anticipate him being ready for next week,” Tomlin said. “It was a prudent decision to make. Certainly it wasn’t a fluid week for him, it was a fluid week for Mason [Rudolph] in terms of reps, and so I think it’ll be in our rear view as we move forward. I’m hopeful of that.”

Tomlin said he made the decision for Rodgers not to play on Saturday.

When asked if Rodgers was ready to play, Tomlin replied, “Aaron’s always ready to play.”

Rudolph completed 24 of 31 passes (77.4%) for 171 yards with one touchdown, one interception, and a passer rating of 86.9 in a losing effort. He also had a crucial fumble after being sacked by Montez Sweat, which resulted in a turnover.
