Aaron Rodgers told reporters and the Pat McAfee show Wednesday his gratitude to be a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
**PITTSBURGH–**When the Pittsburgh Steelers signed Aaron Rodgers, a lot of the concern was off the field. Fans, media, and former teammates were not sure how Rodgers would fit into the locker room. However, after minicamp and a week or so into training camp, Rodgers is fitting right in.
Pat McAfee brought his show to Latrobe and interviewed multiple players. Rodgers was included in those and was a key highlight from the show. Among the sound clips, he expressed how it felt to be a Steeler.
“I’m getting more comfortable as the days go on. If I can sum up my feelings about being in Pittsburgh, it’s gratitude to be in such a special organization.” Rodgers told the Pat McAfee Show.
That same day, the four-time MVP met with reporters and further showed his admiration for the organization.
“I love that we’re out here in Latrobe. I love the opportunity for true camaraderie,” Rodgers told reporters. He then told the media about his experiences in the campus dorm setting so far.
“At nighttime, after meetings are done, guys hang out, you know, guys come to my room. Last night, I was in [Alex] Highsmith’s room,” He told reporters. “It’s pretty cool to see everybody hanging out the way they are.”
The Steelers quarterback was also asked if the setting was fun. His answer to that was simple.
“It’s a lot of fun.” Rodgers said.
It appears Rodgers has embraced the traditions and appreciates the Steelers’ way. His teammates may also have gratitude for having the former Super Bowl champion as their quarterback, as competition heats up in training camp.
