Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers is undeniably one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Rodgers’ career legacy lacks pretty much nothing. He’s won an astounding four NFL MVP awards, he’s lifted the Vince Lombardi trophy, and he’s been called the greatest passer ever by Tom Brady.

But there’s at least one thing Rodgers hasn’t done, and he has a chance to fix that on Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Rodgers has never won at Gillette Stadium.

Sure, the 21-year vet has only played twice in Foxboro in his career, but he’s yet to taste victory in the house that Brady built.

We don’t know if this is Rodgers’ last NFL season, but it feels like it. There’s a good chance he’ll never step foot on the Gillette Stadium turf again, not in an NFL uniform, anyway, and you know that Rodgers doesn’t want to retire with an 0-3 record at Gillette.

It would be but a small stain on an otherwise sparkling resumé for Rodgers in his career, but a stain nonetheless.

Rodgers, however, has some serious work ahead of him to avoid the above fate.

Sunday won’t be an easy battle for either team. The Steelers looked out of sorts in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, and Rodgers will have to cure that dysfunction against a Patriots squad carrying a tad of momentum after a win over the Miami Dolphins.

New England, though, will be playing once again without its star in the secondary (Christian Gonzalez), which is an obvious weakness against a QB of this caliber.

The Patriots have won six out of their last seven against Pittsburgh at Gillette, but Rodgers represents a new beast in the black and yellow uniform. It feels like the makings of a high-scoring affair, which means Drake Maye should be ready to do some gunslinging against a vulnerable Steelers defense.
