On the play, it appears Rodgers called an audible to instead call a run play. Warren then took the hand off and tossed it back to the four-time MVP. He then threw the ball into the turf and let Warren know there was a miscommunication.

After the moment, lots of speculation swirled and former offensive guard Scott Quessenberry explained what likely happened.

Couldn’t see from the broadcast but usually if it’s a 2 high look they kill to run because advantage box and if it’s 1 high let it fricken rip!!

The Steelers are ahead of the Bengals 7-0 through one quarter of play. The score came on a third down pass to tight end Jonnu Smith in the endzone. It was Rodgers’ 11th touchdown pass of the season.

Rodgers looks to surpass Ben Roethlisberger in passing yards while also leading the Steelers to a 5-1 record. They will need to ensure communication to keep momentum on their side.
