A former teammate of quarterback Aaron Rodgers is picking the Pittsburgh Steelers to upset the Houston Texans.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are entering their wild card matchup against the Houston Texans as underdogs, but that doesn’t mean everyone is expecting them to lose come Monday night.

In fact, quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ former teammate, wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, guarantees the opposite will happen.

“I know everyone wants to say, ‘Texans this, Texans that,'” St. Brown said on the latest epsidoe of his St. Brown Podcast. “Give me the Steelers. Give me A-Rod to wipe the floor with them. I don’t care. Give me Aaron Rodgers. Give me the Steelers.”

There’s a reason the Texans are the favorites as one of the hottest teams in the NFL, winning their past nine straight games. However, St. Brown believes Pittsburgh holds an advantage as the home team.

“Let that warm-weather Houston team travel to Pittsburgh. I hopes it’s freezing up there,” St. Brown continued. “If there’s anyone that can pick apart a defense, it’s Aaron Rodgers. I’m not worried about that. … They’re not losing.”

St. Brown does make a fair point. Teams that play their home games in domes are just 1–14 when traveling on the road to face opponents in temperatures of 40 degrees or below in the past decade.

The forecast for Monday night in Pittsburgh calls for temperatures around 36 degrees at kickoff, with lows dipping into the upper 20s as the game progresses.

Meanwhile, the Steelers have been practicing in that type of weather all season and Rodgers is coming off a vintage performance against the Baltimore Ravens, completing 31 of his 47 passes for 294 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions.

Only time will tell if the elements will play a factor and Rodgers can continue playing at a high level, but if one or both are true, Pittsburgh has a good chance to prove St. Brown right and the oddsmakers wrong.
