Aaron Rodgers is not only the oldest player in the NFL, but the 41-year-old is also set to become the oldest player to ever play in a game for the Pittsburgh Steelers. All he has to do is play one snap and he’ll surpass Ben Roethlisberger (39 years old, 320 days).

Rodgers will also look to become the first player in NFL history (regular season or playoffs) to attempt a pass at both 21 years old or younger and 42+ years old, according to Greg Harvey of Stats Perform. Rodgers turns 42 on Dec. 2.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love weighed in on the Steelers’ signing of four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers. It’s not something that surprised Love, but he’s happy for his mentor and former teammate.

He also looks forward to facing Rodgers in Week 8 when the Steelers and Packers square off on Sunday Night Football at Acrisure Stadium. It will be Rodgers’ first meeting against his former team since departing Green Bay after the 2022 season.

“I was excited for A-Rod,” Love said in an interview with Jason Wilde of ESPN Milwaukee. “I don’t feel like I was too surprised. There were a lot of rumors going on the whole offseason about him going to the Steelers. I was excited for him that he was going to keep playing. It’s going to be fun, it’s going to be awesome. I’m excited for it. I can’t wait to be on different sides meeting up and I know we’ll talk pregame and things like that and hopefully we can exchange jerseys after.”

Rodgers can become one of five quarterbacks in NFL history to beat all 32 teams with a win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 8 at Acrisure Stadium. It will be Rodgers’ first meeting against his former team since departing Green Bay after the 2022 season.

The storylines for the Steelers-Packers showdown on Sunday Night Football will be endless.

With a win over the Packers, Rodgers will join Favre, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Drew Brees on the all-time list of QBs to beat all 32 NFL teams.

Rodgers is on the verge of breaking several NFL milestones in his 21st season. He needs just 1,337 passing yards to surpass Ben Roethlisberger for the fifth-most all-time, and needs six passing touchdowns to surpass Favre for fourth-most all-time.
